MIKKI WOOD is a garage-punk band that has been making a name since 2018 with an energetic blend of garage and punk.

Drawing inspiration from the rawness of 1960s garage rock and the uncompromising DIY ethos of punk bands like The Clash, The Stooges, and The Sonics, the band quickly established a reputation within the Dutch underground scene.

Following the 2019 release of the 7-inch EP “A Johnny Is A-Comin’ / Burning Heart”and a string of high-energy live shows, MIKKI WOOD released their debut album “High On The Moon” in early 2024. The record showcases everything the band stands for: unpolished garage rock packed with gritty riffs, infectious hooks, and tireless energy.

2024 proved to be a pivotal year for the band. MIKKI WOOD was selected for the Popronde showcase festival and toured the Netherlands, further cementing their reputation as a powerful live act. This momentum continued into 2025 with performances at Eurosonic and the renowned Jera On Air festival.

The band continues to evolve. After years of performing as a trio, MIKKI WOOD expanded its lineup to include a second guitarist and a keyboardist, adding greater depth, dynamics, and intensity to their sound.

A new EP is set for release in late 2026. With new material, an expanded lineup, and a growing reputation, MIKKI WOOD is ready for the future.
